Tell us what you’re looking for then we’ll share matches and set up interviews. Once you’ve found ‘the one’, we’ll handle the payroll and admin.

Matching & Meeting - For Parents

 

The first thing you need to do is let us know what you’re looking for. Once you’ve done that we’ll find available Grandnannies in your area. You can expect an email with your matches within 24 hours. You then review the profiles and let us know who you’d like to interview.

 

Then we’ll arrange interviews. We also suggest a supervised meeting between your prospective Grandnanny and your whole family before you make an offer.

 

Onboarding & Contracts - For Parents

 

Once you have agreed to make an offer and your offer has been accepted we will invoice you £50 to contribute to the cost of onboarding your Grandnanny - Enhanced DBS checks, child safeguarding and first aid training. 

 

You will become the Employer for your Grandnanny. This is important because every family is different and you will want to agree house rules, notice periods and your own processes for things like holiday booking directly with your Grandnanny. 

 

There are some provisions we encourage you to consider to make sure your relationship with your Grandnanny goes as smoothly as possible, including agreeing a minimum number of hours. We will provide other suggestions to get you off to a flying start via email.

 

When the time comes, we will signpost template contracts. We encourage you to become comfortable and familiar with the details of hiring a nanny. 


 

Invoices & Payroll - For Parents


You will receive a monthly invoice from Grandnanny Ltd which you pay by direct debit. We will base this on the number of hours you have agreed with your Grandnanny. 

 

If you need to increase the number of hours worked in the month we will ask you to tell us by the 21st of each month so we can adjust your invoice and your Grandnanny’s pay accordingly. 

 

We will run payroll on your behalf. This means you are free from the hassle of dealing with HMRC and making payments to your Grandnanny. 

Fair and responsible pricing

A one-off set up fee of £50 and flat £14/hourly rate to cover:

  • London Living Wage for your Grandnanny

  • Recruitment

  • Vetting

  • Enhanced DBS checks

  • Paediatric First Aid

  • Safeguarding Training

  • Payroll

  • Grandnanny peer support groups

  • Pension (where needed)

  • Holiday pay
